Understanding Proration Charges

How billing works for mid-cycle changes.

What is Proration?

Proration adjusts your bill when you:

  • Upgrade mid-billing cycle

  • Downgrade mid-billing cycle

  • Change billing frequency

Upgrade Proration

When upgrading:

  1. System calculates remaining days in cycle

  2. You're charged the difference between plans

  3. For remaining days only

  4. Extra credits added immediately

Example:

  • Upgrading from Basic ($9) to Pro ($29) with 15 days left

  • Daily rate difference: ($29-$9)/30 = $0.67

  • Prorated charge: $0.67 × 15 = $10.05

  • Next full cycle: $29

Viewing Proration Preview

Before confirming a change:

  • You'll see a preview of charges

  • Exact amount is calculated

  • Confirm before being charged
